Cinema ticket style wedding stationery

These rustic vintage style invitations are the perfect embodiment of romance meets shabby chic.

They are a very popular choice of style at the moment. With our choice of quality brown textured kraft papers to choose from they never fail to give a very personal hand made boutique retro quality.

Although any choice of design can be adapted, (and they are certainly versatile for most wedding themes!) a simple black block stencil design accompanied by retro fonts tends works better for optimum results.

The set includes an A5 invitation (148mm x 210mm), a postcard sized RSVP (105 x 148mm) a bride or groom token (74mm x 105mm) and a save the date ticket (50mm x 74mm) !!

The card is a lovely rustic brown textured finish and 350gsm thick. The save the date ticket is 100gsm.

The designs are neatly stacked and bundled together with string for a wonderfully pretty surprise.

Envelopes are ribbed kraft to match, these can also be customised should you wish!

Wedding Invitations to Wow

You may think that the hardest part of tying the knot is working up the courage to propose, picking the engagement ring or shopping for the dress. But really, there are a hundred and one other little details that go into a wedding and one of the most crucial is deciding on the wedding invitations.

Christmas is one of the most popular times of the year to propose and be proposed to so if you’re planning or hoping to say yes sometime soon, why not get a head start on the arrangements with our wedding invitation tips?

Choose a Style or Theme

The theme or style of the wedding will be one of the most central elements. It will be determined by your own personal taste – do you want something chic and minimalist packed with earth tones and fresh blooms or something more traditional? Will you get married in a church or opt for a destination wedding on an exotic beach?

Once you have your wedding theme, you can then choose a printed wedding invitation to match. With dozens of designs to pick from, all of which can be personalised to suit, Emma Hazel Designs is a great place to start your search for wedding stationary.

What’s the Shape and Size?

Traditionally, printed wedding invitations tend to be more or less postcard size and square or oblong in shape. But, there is no hard and fast rule and it can be fun to experiment. Our designs and custom printing come in all shapes and sizes try a few different shapes to get a feel for what you really like. If traditional with a twist appeals, consider a scalloped edge for example or if you want a modern aesthetic, go for a circular shape or even just nod to the trend with gilt edges.

Words are Important Too

It’s not just the look of the wedding invitation that matters but the words that you place on it. This can be one of the hardest points to reach a decision on. Each of our wedding invitation designs comes with sample text but can you add all your own wording just as easily or tweak our suggestions. There is a traditional etiquette linked to wedding invitations such as the use of the phrase ‘request the honour of your presence’ after the hosts name but, if you feel this isn’t quite right for you as a couple, you are free to add text that is more personal.

Add Save The Dates Too

If your wedding is still a while away, you can pre-order save the date cards in the same style and send those out first. Choosing Impress for both stationary sets makes the job quicker and easier and much less stressful – an important consideration when the wedding details start to crowd in. This also means that the same style can be maintained for the save the dates as for the printed wedding invitations for that all important continuity.

This is just one variation of the scratch card wedding invitations, but the possibilities are endless!

The wedding theme was gold and pink so this colour combination fitted in very well, we even used a matching metallic shimmery inside for the envelopes.

As the couple wanted something a bit more personalised I designed some customised initals that fit in with the overall card design, I felt the flourished edges were necessary to temper the sharp straight lines. I chose creme to contrast the hot pink and tie in with the envelope.
