How are Metal Business Cards printed?
Firstly we need a blemish free stainless steel sheet which is sourced from the marine industry, it’s tough and well made. Printing is actually misleading for these cards, we etch! It’s kind of old school, laying a photographic film on the metal plate and exposing it to acid. The core of the card is a slightly different shade of colour, more than enough to give a subtle and shimmering effect, once the acid has eaten away at the photo negative areas. Shapes can be achieved using the same method. The cards can also be screen printed on top or within the etched metal card.
